Dance, Dance Eco-Revolution!

Anyone who knows me knows just how much I love to get down on the dance floor. So you can imagine how delighted I was when I happened upon an article about Surya, a London night club featuring a high-tech dance floor that generates its own electricity when people move on it. What a great way to tackle climate change and to engage young people in a way that's fun and lighthearted!

Climate change is a very serious issue that will undoubtedly force us to shake up the status quo. But Surya proves that this doesn't have to mean the death of fun. In 2008 the owner, Mr. Charalambous, estimated that a packed dance floor could cover 60 percent of the club's energy needs. Let's hope this is one party that never ends!
